Autism and Mental Health (How to keep it)

We, the Autistics, due to many stuff, are more likely to come up with depression and 9 times more likely to take our own lives.

They consider us "economic burdens"
They talk about us as if we were an epidemic
(Generally, NTs) paint us as the "bad guys"

All of this makes us want to take our lives. Many, even children, do it.

I have some strategies to keep me alive (my anxiety and depresion are quite elevated):

Pay attention to your cravings: Chocolate is a natural antidepressant, for example. Never be afraid of doing "tamaranean dishes", for your mental health.

Dance or listen to music: I like "emo type" (maybe because negative+negative= positive?) ... Experiment and see what works best for you!)

See cute videos, like those of kittens, puppies or babies.

Find your neurotribe, at least in Facebook... You're not alone!

Stim: You can use anything, from a multicolored crystal , or a honey-scented balm, to a rice bag that sounds like maracas, or a nacre necklace. There are even apps for stimming!

Discover your passions: Even if you don't have resources. If you like cosplay, make a homemade one! A pencil skirt and a schoolgirl-type blouse (preferably without logo), glasses, black flats, a blonde wig or hair dye, and a Superman T-shirt (leave one botton of the blouse open, and put the T-shirt inside) will turn you into Kara Danvers prepared to soar into the skies as Supergirl.

There are also virtual assistants. Even Cortana can help.

All of this help keep us alive. But first, ask for help. You aren't alone.
