Normal is a bad word

Sometimes i would stim at school (we've already talked about stims) and then, the therapist or my parents would tell me to appear more "normal"... NOW I KNOW THAT WAS A REALLY GARBAGE TAKE... WHAT'S NORMAL ANYWAYS? FOR ME... NORMAL IS A BAD WORD.

Normal, is, first thing first, A SOCIAL CONSTRUCT. For many Indigenous communities around the world, going topless was normal, even if you were a woman. That is, until colonizers came. But the colonizers are to blame, not Indigenous people. What i'm saying is: There's no exact definition of what exactly constitutes "normalcy".

Of course, the concept of "normalcy" is not just racist: It is VERY, VERY ABLEIST. Let's say you stim: People will tell you off, asking you to act "normal". But these people never wonder why you stim(we've talked about that before), and therefore, think it just has to be a bad thing, because they haven't ever seen it. And it's ok. Through evolution, we've been tempted many times to investigate dangerous stuff... And it went wrong. That's why we're here today, isn't it? We feared natural disasters, and according to Darwin(as sourced in Sciencemag's On the origins of religion), we created religion via reasoning thoose experiences and combining it with imagination.

But of course, things out of the ordinary aren't always bad. If it was always bad, we wouldn't have art, for example, or many scientific discoveries. It's good to think outside the box. As Hugh Jackman's character said in The Greatest Showman: No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.

So, why should we fear being different. Being different, abnormnal, to me, is a blessing. It's like being part of the X-men! Of course, there are moments when i feel it's an imperfection... So what if it is? Entrapta said it: "Remember: your imperfections are beautiful!"... SO...

NORMALCY IS A BAD WORD.

15 Reasons to NOT support Autism $peaks.

Well... this post is important… I know it will be highly polemical… But it's necessary. And now that i've got the spoons (we'll talk about it later) to tell it, i will. Unfrtunately for the big mayority of the Autistic Community, Autism $peaks is the greatest Autism Charity in the USA. MOST OF US HATE THIS "CHARITY". And here are a few reasons you should NEVER support them. 1. They show Autistic kids as burdens to their families, as "ghosts" and other REALLY STIGMATIZING analogies. No kid deserves that kind of rethoric (they have even described us as monsters). Even non-vocalizing or COMORBIDLY intellectually disabled Autistics are people and JUST BECAUSE OF THAT deserve as much respect as EVERYONE ELSE. 2. They use functioning labels. Simply, FUNCTIONING LABELS DON'T WORK. Due to them, "low functioning" individuals (commonly those who are non-vocalizing or depend on someone due to COMORBITIES)  are pitied, while "high-functionin
