Many peopke tell me:
*I struggle to understand sarcasm.
*I'm quite honest, at least, that's what people say.
*In school, i am the famous controversial one.
*I infodump people, it's like i'm giving a TEDTalk
*I don't get people's intentions, and that has gotten me in trouble.
*Things affect me more than to other people.
*I spoke too early, or too lste
And i tell them: I believe they could be Autistic... But they tell me "self diagnosing could be problemayic". Turns out, regarding Autism, IT ISN'T. Many ties, diagnosis is held back due to biases such as:
*Misoginy
*Racism
*Other forms of ableism, such as Audism, Oralism, Visualism, Sanism.
*Islamophobia, Antisemitism or Antipaganism
*Transphobia
*Fatphobia
*Ageism
*Kinkshaming
And many things more
That's why, sometimes, formal/medical diagnosis becomes nothing more and nothing less than A PRIVILEGE.
That's why we can't say self-diagnosis erases people with professional diagnosis.
Do you know what erases people? BIASED DOCTORS
