Enough, apologize with Entrapta

 We've talked about how She-Ra gives us hope, about how Catra is a victim of multiple abuse... 

Now, we'll talk abou that princess who redeemed an intergalactic conqueror with her love...

That princess who, behin her ethically grey actions, hid a great desire of being apreciated with all and her diferences...

Yes... Today, we'll talk about our dear Entrapta.

I think she's the best Autistic rep until now. They even got an Autistic writer for her. 

She is a somewhat lonely girl, a tech lover, but... she isn't that good with people. 

And that's when Hordak comes along. He also feels like a failure, knowing he'll be euthanized becausae of his nerve damage. She's the first to understand what he feels like, BECAUSE SHE'S BEEN TREATED LIKE THAT. I MEAN, THEY PUT HER ON A LEASH.

That's how they develop a relationship, between two souls sharing Ableist Discrimination and love for tech. 

Many raise eyebrows at this relationship. They think: How could a women of color (probably a Middle Eastern) fall in love with a colonizer? 

And I ask... How could a female child soldier, chosen for a genocidal mission (we'll see about it later) which she didn't know about, fell in love with the one female child soldier whom she promised loyalty too, and nonetheless, was always abusive to her?

Honestly, after a joke on a livestream by Noelle Stevenson  (show creator), Entrapdak hate catapulted. 

Many Disabled and/or Neurodivergent people talked about how most princesses mistreated Entrapta more than Hordak did, but WE WERE IGNORED.

So... what did the princesses, and Catra, do to Entrapta?

*Ignoring her when she talks about her Special Interest

*Left her during Princess Prom after assuming the incinerator had killed her (never went for ashes or something) 

¨*Talk to her like a baby

*Pull her hair

*Shocks and insults

*Sent to die on Beast Island

*SHE IS PUT ON A LEASH

*They scream at her

*THEY CRITICIZE HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HORDAK, AND ALL HER OTHER CHOICES

Meanwhile, Hordak tells her that he understands her, pays attention to her interests, worries about her when she is sent to Beast Island, understands her choices and gives her bodily autonomy... HE TREATS HER LIKE AN EQUAL. 

Honestly, THAT DOESN'T EXCUSE WHAT HORDAK DID... But it helps explain why we should forgive him...

Entrapta is loyal, and answers to his love.

Many think it's just a platonic, professional or friendly relationship. BUT I THINK IT IS A VERY VALID DISABLED LOVE STORY. AND IT'S CANON.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO HATE THE SHIP. I LOVE IT. 

EVERYONE TOOK ENTRAPTA'S INTELLIGENCE, HONESTY, LOYALTY AND DETERMINATION FOR GRANTED, UNTIL SHE SAVED THE UNIVERSE DISCOVERING HOW PRIME'S CHIPS WORKED. 

HORDAK... LOVED HER FOR WHO SHE WAS. 

YOU CAN HATE HORDAK... WISH HE WAS DEAD... 

BUT IF CATRA REDEEMED.. WHY COULDN'T HORDAK? Scorpia was really kind with Entrapta (who, by the way, is canonically 30), but she still comitted war crimes, and so did Adora. 

Entrapta is one of my favourite characters ever. So witty, a tiny food lover, loyal, cheerful, she has prehensile hair, clever, and teaches great lessons... I THINK SHE IS THE BEST AUTISTIC CHARACTER UNTIL NOW.

What's the Social Model Of Disability? (I'M NOT "DIFFERENTLY ABLED")

"Asking for basic rights isn't too much to ask" -Diane Guerrero This is gonna be one of the most controversial articles i have ever done. But i've gotta be brave enough to do it. They asked for it in school, it's important for me and, as Pippi Longstockings said once when they asked why she walked backwards "The question is, why not?" Recently, the word "differently abled" is being introduced when talking about people who, becausse of X or Y, NEED ACOMMODATIONS. BUT I THINK IT'S AN EUPHEMISM, AND IT CAN BE EXPLAINED THRUGH THE SOCIAL MODEL OF DISABILITY. This model explains that IT'S SOCIETY WHO DISABLES US, EVEN MORE THAN OUR DIAGNOSES. AND IT'S SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE OUR STYLE. So, what acommodations does an Autistic like me need? Basically, our sensory processing is different. Cosas que ME CAGAN de lxs doctorxs

 Literal, CADA VEZ CREO MENOS EN EL SISTEMA MÉDICO.  Honestamente hay muchas veces que hacen cosas cuestionables SIN SIQUIERA PENSARLO O SABERLO.  Me tratan como a una niña. Me interrumpen cuando quiero decir algo. Tratan de adivinar mis pensamientos y de hablar por las minorías a las que yo pertenezco y ELLOS NO. Incluso creen que debo respetar a mayorías intolerantes.  En una ocasión, yo le hablé a mi terapeuta de que me disgustaba que me hicieran ir a misa a pesar de ser pagana (pronto lo hablaré más a detalle). Ella me replicó:  "¿Si escuchaste lo de los dos sacerdotes jesuitas?" ¿Les digo la verdad? ME VALE MADRES. ME VALE MADRES QUE ASESINEN A DOS, Y SOLO DOS, MIEMBROS DE UNA RELIGIÓN QUE MASACRÓ A LA MÍA. En serio, que se jodan... Uno cosecha lo que siembra.
